Evangeline-1
What had started out as an innocent walk was turning into something more. Evangeline was sure even Grace could see that. As the three of them burst out of the wood, panting for breath she looked up to see two Rahja flying overhead, their strong powerful wings sweeping the sky. Peter looked at them and gasped, "Do you think we'll make it?" Eve stared at him and lied, "Of course...Why...Wouldn't...We?" Her breath came in even shorter gasps and she could see that overhead, Christoper at least, was slowing down. There was a crashing sound behind them and then they came bursting through the trees. Eve put on a burst of speed even though she knew it wouldn't help. These were predators, fast and strong, and Eve was their prey. She could almost feel their inhuman breath on her neck, she stepped short and spun to face them. The four vampires were tall and unnaturally pale and thin. Their eyes were dark, burning holes in their faces and their fangs were...retracted? They had stopped too and were standing in a semicircle, their mouths closed and a grim smile on their faces. "Well, finally some one starts thinking." A curvy blond female remarked acidly. "Petra, they didn't know." Murmured a dark haired male. Their faces were ageless, showing no sign of the years they must possess. They had a breathtaking but cold beauty, opposite from the Rajha's warm features, the tan skin and liquid eyes. Still, the two seemed more alike. Spirits, legends, not the modified flesh and blood of the humans. Not like Eve. She scanned the circle again, watching as the world grew woozy. Was this what happened when you went into a legendary forest, you found legends? Creatures that weren't supposed to exist? That was her last conscious thought as she subcomed to the darkness, falling to ground with a thud.
